I have a general outline for my Ted Talk, but I haven’t defined the particulars. I plan to speak about each record and display videos of our attempts, which will, in theory, captivate the audience and grab their attention. Afterward, giving an in-depth account describing the journey that we took to get here. But I can’t help myself but think that the audience will think our project was useless or boring since we didn’t actually break any records. Which is why I’ve decided to assert my full focus to actually breaking a world record. Because of time limitations, I’ve been forced to work at home, which isn’t an optimal workspace, but these conditions have allowed me to practice more. I’ve been looking into buying a chess board that would be easier to set up. The chess board I’ve been using during practice sessions held at my house is difficult to set up and was designed to look appealing. I’d be partial to a plastic chess set, preferably smaller, lightweight, and expendable if something were to happen. If I am to set up a chess set faster than 32.42 seconds then conditions are gonna have to be in my favor (information at Guinness World Records). My ability to problem solve (iste standard #4) has come into play on multiple occasions, the biggest, Jacobs absence during a crucial time for this project.
